Is there any advantage to S-grates, or just style?

endomdMarch 23, 2012

Wolf ranges offer S-grates as an accessory. I don't know if other gas ranges/range-tops do. Does anyone have them? They seem more cumbersome. Is there an advantage (cast-iron, not porcelain coated?) or is it just a look that some people prefer?

Both grates are two burner porcelain coated cast iron.

Neither is more functional.

It is just looks. They make you pay extra for unique Wolf design.

At least you don't pay extra for red knobs.
