We are in middle of our new kitchen installation and have a ductwork problem.
We purchased this hood: http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/AK7036AS.html
Our original plan was to vent in the rear right to the outside. However, we didn't realize the duct would interfere with a new support beam placed at the wall.
Our two options are:
1) Instead of venting in the rear, have ductowrk from the top, turn 90 degrees and then turn 90 degrees again to the outside wall (hood is on the exterior wall)
2) Swap the rangetop with the next cabinet over. This would place the rangetop right next to our corner cabinet and would reduce the size of an upper cabinet on either side of the rangehood (instead of 1 full size cabinet).
The cabinets are almost complete so it would likely be an extra cost. Option 1 wouldn't cost us anything really.
Are two 90 degree bends in a short span ok?
