Emissions test affected the heating in my car!

Jo3501September 21, 2013

Hi, I have a 2006 Toyota RAV4. Took it in for Emissions Test yesterday. Everything working fine before the test. When I left the facility, it started to get hot inside my car. I did not have the heating on, in fact the setting of my air was on 'cool'. Turned on the AC and it worked well. Turned the AC off and the heating came back on! The setting was still on 'cool'. Turned the heating on and the air that came out was EXTREMELY hot. Took the car back to the Emissions Testing facility and, of course, they assured me this has nothing to do with the test. HELP PLEASE.

They did nothing wrong. Emission testing has nothing to do with your heat controls. Things do wear out and break.
