Radiant or heated floors

tncraftFebruary 13, 2012

There was a discussion on heated floors where several posters recommended to have 2 of "something". I tried to search but I can't find the discussion. I don't remember what that "something". It was along the lines of, if "it" fails, you'll have a backup and don't need to rip out your floor. Maybe, sensors???

Thanks!

It was Staceyneil who posted that tip. It is 2 thermostat wires from underneath the tiles running to the controller. Only one is hooked up and the other just coiled out of the way in the wall, ready to be switched out if the 1st one should fail. Right?
