Cambria Torquay - help with shower tiles!

daisykirkFebruary 23, 2012

I am doing a new master bath - Cambria Torquay counters, espresso cabinets and an espresso color wood-like plank ceramic tile. I cannot figure out what to do for the shower tiles! My inspiration for the counter is Carrera but I don't want the maintenance. I know there are good carrera-like porcelain tiles out there but I'm not sure that will work with the Torquay. I'm also trying to think of alternative to subway tile - as I already have subways in the kitchen and buddy bath - trying to switch it up a bit. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!!

I used Daltile Navelli Carrera Star tile, which looks like carrera marble, with an actual carrera marble counter. I love how it looks. I would recommend bringing home some samples of Daltile Navelli Carerra Star and American Olean Catarina Coliseum White tile to compare with your samples of Cambria Torquay. Personally I think the look could really work for you.

Thanks pricklypear! I think both of those tiles are great with a real carrera counter. However, it seems as if the Torquay counter is different enough from real carrera that the two styles don't go 100% together which is what is stumping me...
