pitted windows

busyasabeeJune 15, 2007

I just noticed that on the right hand side of my 2006 Highlander that there seems to be these dark reddish brown spots etched on the outside of the glass. Initially I thought it was the dried bird droppings of a brid that feasted on berries. I tried to wipe off, but stuff will not come out. It seems stuff is stuck /etched on the glass. (Just puchased the car brand new last November 2006 from car dealer.)

What could this be? How do I get rid of it?

Try to find a product that contains ammonium bifluoride. My son stumbled on a product in our area called 'Stain Bully' that contains this. Removes water stains well. That would be the easiest thing to do by far if it works.

If that doesn't work, I'm afraid your in for hours of rubbing with 00 steel wool and glass polish.
