Tire pressure

spotsmokeMay 10, 2006

My tires say that they require 60lbs when cold....Is this correct...60lbs seems way to much for my truck tires...I checked them and they have 35lbs in them now and looks and runs allright...Whats with this 60lbs when cold???

You didn't say how many plies or what make/model tire, or even the briefest description. How can anyone guess ?

If it truly says 60 Pounds per Sq Inch and not some metric.. yea that's right.

That 60 psi figure only means that the tire can take that much.
Consult the owners manual - it should give both the correct number and the sticker location for the pressure figures.
Also, a disclosure of pertinent info is necessary for a good response..
