Would the wall tile size 13x26 for the bathtub with shower too big for a small bathroom?
Thank you very much.
I don't think so. To me, less grout lines = less busy = more visually spacious.
I like the larger tile in the rectangle shape. I think it will make the tub area if not the whole bathroom look and feel more open & airy. DS1&2's baths have 9x18 tiles in a brick pattern and they look really nice. To add onto treasure's equation above...less grout lines = less potential for mildew/mold = less/easier cleaning.
I used 24" x 24" with 0 grout lines! Love it! Easy easy clean up. Looks great! We squeegee after each shower and every once in a while I scrub around the bottom 10" or so with a microfiber to get the film build up off. But no scrubbing grout! At least not where the big tile is concerned.
Grout is your enemy. Minimize, or eliminate. Get large tiles , or slabs if you can afford it.
We used large format tile in our small bathroom and don't feel they look too big at all. Opens up the space nicely.
Thank you very much for all the responses above, which are really helpful. My dreamhome, your wall tiles are so beautiful. I really like it!
Love the tiles. The bigger the better, especially in such a light shade.
The bathroom I'm about to remodel is set up just like yours. Can't wait to see what you do with the space!
