I was recently given this bowl. I think it is very attractive but have no idea of the age or manufacturer. Can anyone identify this for me.
Looks a lot like a later Heisey pressed glass bowl, though a lot of manufacturers did patterns like that during the 40's all the way through modern times. If you're hoping for $$$ value, as depressed as the glass market is overall, I wouldn't put this at much more than $10.
I can't ID the pattern....but it looks nothing like Heisey to me. But if it were marked Heisey, it would be worth a lot more than $10.
How big is it? Can you get a better picture....what's the bottom like?
Here's a couple more photos...photo of the top is somewhat blurry...there are no markings that I can determine...there are some chips on the "arches" on the top rim of the bowl. Mesures 8 1/4" diameter.
Thanks for your response......db
Looking like depression era or later glass...No idea who made it...perhaps Hocking, McKey or many others.
I would call it a berry bowl....would be lovely full of strawberries....and now you need a berry spoon to serve them with.
Here is a link that might be useful: berry spoon
