Water lines in back of counter depth refrigerator

siteliferFebruary 13, 2012

I just took delivery of a KA counter depth refrigerator to be installed in my new kitchen. The water lines protrude in the back about a half inch prevention a perfect fit. My contractor says he can't bump out the back of the cabinet. I am using panels on the front so this ruins the whole look.

Any suggestions? And why don't they include water lines in the spec.

Are you talking about a counter depth fridge or a built-in fridge? Counter depth is a misnomer - the door will always stick out beyond the counter so they can open. Only integrated built-in fridges can be made flush with the other cabinets.
