Need help with HVAC Closet

columboDecember 6, 2005

I have a HVAC "closet" however I just can stand having to spend money on a door that matches the rest of the doors for something I will need to open 6-12 times a year. Most of the access panels doors are to small. Is there any way to make a "false door" with drywall? Any other suggestions, I'm stuck. I need to at least have 24 x 48" access.

Unless your other doors are super expensive, why would you want to have a different door stick out like a sore thumb.
If you ever need service to do a repair of some kind, a regular door would be easier to deal with and leave fully open.
