Optimum Value Engineered Framing

Could someone tell me,is this type of Framing very popular

in the Midwest? having a hard time finding experience.

Also a Draftsmen/designer who has experence.were to go,in

finding someone with knowledge of (ove). thanks

Not from the Midwest but I doubt it. It is relatively new and I have seen quite a bit of variation in how it is implemented.

The requirements are not difficult and any competent builder and designer should be able to do it. That being said, adoption is slow because it requires people to do things differently. Implementing it correctly requires fasteners that are not usually in stock at the lumber store.

Design wise most of the styles people want these days do not value engineer particularly well.

If it is something you are hoping to save money on in the short term I would say probably not. Done right it can produce a more energy efficient house which adds up over the life of the home.
