If you could have 1 Bar for every city which one would you choose? No Cheers allowed!
I will start
History + Atmosphere what else can you ask for?
Jean Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop - Bourbon St., New Orleans!
Dick Heads--Houston Tx. The bra collection over the bar was impressive. Haven't been there in a couple of years-hope it's still open.
Vesuvio --San Francisco
Right next door to City Lights book store and the bar where Alan Ginsburg and Jack Kerouac whiled away the hours writing poetry over whiskey and beer....
Awesome view of the street...
the Red Frog in Cedar Rapids.
K&J's (Now called Jane's Pub, but it will always be K&J's to me).
JC Dobbs on South St in Philadelphia
Three Dollar Dewey's in Portland Maine
Euclid Avenue Yacht Club in Atlanta, GA
Trackside Tavern in Decatur, GA
They're both just, well, bars. Good atmostphere, good people, good bar food, good drink.
Pat O'Briens- New Orleans
Gandy Dancer - Vancouver, BC
Disco Nueve - Mexico City (no longer open)
Splash - Manhattan
Lafittes - New Orleans
Club Cherry - Los Angeles
Stud - San Francisco
Mary's - Houston
Windsor ON, Canada - Kildaire House - a very intimate Celtic pub with good food, good imported drinks and a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.
Coyote Ugly in the New York New York Casino in Las Vegas
Best drink I've ever had in my life! Called a Coyote Octane! MMMM can't wait to go back!
ALL of Duvall Street, Key West, Florida!!
George St Festival...St Johns,Newfoundland,Canada,More bars per cap than anywhere in North America...One Huge Bar!,,Aug
Buffalo Bill's - Nashville, TN - great pool tables too
: ) gotta agree with Lafitte's in New ORleans- the only bar to actually get any money out of me last time I was down there.
don't know if the Khyber Pass is still open in Philly, but it used to be the ONLY place to get a brew that wasn't mass-produced.
and gotta plug the friday tastings at the brooklyn brewery plant in brooklyn... the only beer I've had two of in years.
