British paste ring

Chenks11June 6, 2013

I have found a ring and im pretty sure its fairly old. i took it to a jewller and they said its a british paste ring the stones are not real diamonds in it. It is stamped on the inside of the ring with 4 symbols. ones a KR and a anchor, the third i cant rly make out and the last is a N. I was just wondering if this type of antique jewllery is worth anything??

Fori is not pleased

If it's British gold or silver, the symbols all mean something pretty specific. They should tell when, where, and what it's made out of (the metal--not the stone). The anchor I think means it was marked in Birmingham and the rest um oh I can't find the chart.

Doesn't tell you what it's worth of course. I think it's classy, paste or not! And yeah, get a second opinion. :)
