What it this?

Hi, new to the forum and I was wondering if anyone knows what this is called or any info on it since I can't seem to find one on the web. Its a bench we picked up @ the dump many years ago, the ornate parts and legs are cast bronze screwed to steel tubing so its not too old since there are screws and nuts. We are having a yard sale and I need to come up with a fair price . Thanks

Well, it cost you $0, so anything above that would be profit.

I'd call it a vanity bench and sell it for $10-25 and get it out of the house. The leg on the right looks bent?

They were popular in the 1950s-70s, along with french provincial furniture.

It's a bench.

Fair value is what you can get for it.

I can get $40 scraping the bronze, but I still can't find a picture of one on the internet.

Could it be patio furniture? (I have no idea!)

Is this similar to yours?

Here is a link that might be useful: Ebay listing - is this similar to yours?

justlinda ... his bench is a modern imitation of the eBay one.

Bronze-colored castings screwed to steel is not an antique construction method.

Call it "Hollywood Regency" and see what you can get for it in Craigslist, not a yard sale.

It's the sort of bench that stylish women of the 1950s would have placed at the foot of a bed, if it's too big to be used in a vanity.
