Could someone date these Chinese tables? I was told they were quite old. Also any opinion on value? Thank You.

To be honest, the carving looks too rough and ready and the construction a little too slapped together for it to be a true antique. I would hazard a guess at modern reproduction for the export trade.

I would agree, they are reproductions. They started importing these in the late 70's early 80's, so they can have 30-40's of wear on them. You can see where the joinery is coming apart, this is from using freshly cut wood that has not been dried properly, a clear sign of quickly manufactured pieces. HTH, mfrog
