Eyelid hooding

honugirlhawaiiFebruary 2, 2008

With aging, I've developed eyelid "hooding" which gives me a very tired look. It has not affected my vision and is for me, a cosmetic issue rather than a medical one. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can minimize the hooding and have a less sleepy look? Thanks in advance!

I had this problem and the only solution was cosmetic surgery. It is a very simple, painfree procedure. I was so glad I had it done, it gives you a fresh look.

I was thinking today that I'd be very sexy if I were a lizard.

I have one of my eyes that is hooding so I know what you're talking about. My dad had to have surgery to correct his a few years ago. Mine doesn't affect my sight it seems to show more when I don't get enough sleep. I wear eyeshadow in two shades to help.
Enjoyingspring is this an expensive surgery?

I'm interested in this also. My eyes are drooping and I can see in ten years or so really disliking it. I'd like to have a slight lift now but it's not in the budget.
I also don't want to look like Marie Osmond!

My eyelids have always been droopy. I never could wear eyeshadow because I don't really have anywhere to put it! I usually try to make sure I keep my eyebrows well groomed and defined and my lashes curled with a bit of mascara. Those two things really help keep the eye area looking wide awake.

Phonegirl, I live in Canada and the surgery was paid for by our health care system.
