Cansara Running

We have recently bought a Cansara Running horse and there appears to be a motif on one of its hind quarters. It resembles a laurel leaf. Does anyone know know its significance?

What company made the figurine? Or is Cansara the company and the horse is running?

If your horse is a Royal Doulton/Beswick Cancara, it's the Trakehners brand, according to the newsletter linked below. Scroll down to pages 11-12.

Continue scrolling to page 22 for info on the brands used on the actual Trakehners.
