Old Paris porcelain figurative vases

bgoss123May 9, 2010

I have a pair of old paris vases in pretty good condition. I inherited these from my grandmother who got them from her mother. My grandmother was born in 1900. These vases have fluted tops and angel figures facing each other on each vase. My question is where is a good place to sell them? They are beautiful but not my style.

I would take them to a consignment antiques shop.
And be aware that all "old Paris" is not created equal.

I happen to love Old Paris. I bought a vase from a decorator friend that is getting rid of all her old paris and going a little more modern. I bought a vase from here for $25.00 but that was what she payed for it. She has several big pieces that she was selling for $200.00, but again that was at cost.

I saw a vase at an antique shop last week that looked like mine and it was $55.00, but she sells her antiques at a much lower price than say Atlanta does.

A picture of my Old Paris...

My vase was made around 1890, if that helps.
