Can drop in tubs be converted to undermount?

janewms17March 20, 2010

We are remodeling our horrible master bath (we just bought an old house), and I want to put an air tub/shower combination in. I am a tall, slim woman, and would love to put in a 72 X 34/36 tub that is 16.5 inches or more at overly. We are on a limited budget, although I will splurge to $2200 for the tub -- and I know that isn't much. The only air tubs in that size or price range that I have found are drop ins. Can drop in tubs work as undermounts, and can undermounted tubs work with a shower?
