Does anyone know of any sliding windows that will possibly pop out or something to that effect. The problem is I would like a sliding window in the part of the basement I'm going to be finishing, but do not want a 60 inch wide window that would be required to meet the 5.7 sq ft opening for bedroom rule (3 feet is as tall as I can have it without digging). I may end up going with a casement style window if need be, but was wondering if I had other options for a smaller legal sliding window?

I'm not aware of any pop-able sliders, that meet this requirement.

Casement style windows are typically used as basement egreess windows. Typically, 29"w x 48"h is a common size, since it fits in a 2 block hole. You probably need to dig a little, since the sill is required to be no more than 44" above the finished floor.
