Way to frame wall in basement so water can drain under it?
We are finishing a section of our basement. We will be putting down foam puzzle tiles as the flooring in case of water so they can be pulled up and dried. This basement has only had issue when the sump pump failed and it resulted in 1/4 - 1/2 inch of water till it followed the slope in the floor to the drain. Issue is the drain is in the area that will be unfinished and used for storage. So if I frame in the wall I will basically be blocking the flow of water to the drain. Is there a method or a system to frame my wall leaving channels for water to pass under the wall if we were to have water again? I was looking at the dry core and thermal dray stuff but I don't want to put down a whole floor just have my wall raised up with 1/2 inch - 1 inch high channels under it so water could flow if need be. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks :)
