Antique Rocking Chair

Chris6762March 29, 2011

Hi. I was hoping someone could help identify this chair... era, style, value, etc.

I recently inherited it from a family member. It belonged to my great grandmother who passed in 1948. So I'm assuming it is pre WW2 or much older. Its a small chair. I'm thinking possibly for a child. Seat height is about 15'. Top of the back rest is about 33'. Follow this link to some photos of it on Flickr

Thanks very much for any insight regarding the chair.

Windsor style....but with a flat not shaped seat...oak seat. likely dating from 1920 to '40 or there abouts.
It's a sewing rocker.
Not a lot of value...maybe $65??
Much more sentimental value than monetary value.
I had my great grandmother's rocker....older than yours by a lot....but not worth a hill of beans....but my grand daughter now has it in her it's her great great great grandmother's rocker!
You can't buy that!!
