Hi does anyone know the origin of this chair? i have a pair of these I inherited from an antique dealer uncle and I have no room for them, so I am thinking of selling them and I'm wonder what the value of them would be.

They are about the turn of the century dining chairs maple with a painted section to simulate walnut veneer and likely caned under that tacked on upholstered seat.
Nice chairs but they need to have that seat fixed.

Yes the seats were broken cane seats when my brother got them, he replaced the seats. How do I go about having the seats recaned?

Remove the wooden "thing" and buy cane and re do them. It's not rocket science.
