Mystery antique silver pattern

bensageFebruary 22, 2013

I inherited a set of forks (see picture of the front and back) from my great aunt. I love them, but took them to an expert in NY for identification and he was stumped. Any ideas? I would love to add to this set. Thanks.

Beautiful & unusual but a closeup of the markings on the back is essential for identification. Do you know where your aunt bought them?

I now see that the fork on the right IS the back. Is there marking or imprint?

I'm wondering if they weren't possibly hand "customised" from a plain pattern.

I wish I could see the detail of what looks like a hallmark at the base of the handle.

Is that a photocopy or scan? C'mon, find a camera! :)

Or at least a description of the marks.

Another case of a hit-&-run poster.
