decorating support beams

momto4February 9, 2009

HI there!

Wodering if anyone has any creative ideas as to how to decorate or integrate the 2 support beam that are right in the middle of the basement! Can I tile them in like a mosaic type thing, or something? If you have them, what did you do?

Could you post a picture?

It depends on whether you want to emphasize them or not, and that depend on the overall plan and use for the room.

I've seen them painted, covered with faux columns, boxed out and tiled, turned into a pool cue holder.....all manner of things. I had them integrated into a long, tall bookcase. Depends what you're doing with the room. A pic or more details would help.
