Dryer on last legs?

xminionJanuary 15, 2014

Dryer completely stopped rotating. DH put a new belt in. Drum now rotates, but only with a light load. Won't move at all with a full load of clothes. .

Any ideas what part/s need repair? Or, is it on its last legs? Thanks!

This would be better in the laundry forum.
But your issue is the idler pully.
The belt was not put on the idler / tension pulley correctly and it's not keeping the belt tight on the drum. This is why a heavy load won't tumble.
