Help with a Japanesse Tea Set

AAstrojetFebruary 24, 2011

My wife and I received the following tea set as a wedding gift back in 1970 from a friend who was in the Merchant Marine. I would like to determine its value if possible. It was in a box which indicated it was 18 of 800.

It is black with gold sketches of a garden scene with Mt. Fugiama in the back ground. It consists of 6 cups along with the sugar and creamer. It has a marking on the bottom but I am unable to determine which company it may be the logo of.

A picture would help a lot...some can tell just by the shape of the mark what it is.
