Do you recognize these juice/water glasses?

janepaFebruary 6, 2011

I bought these glasses at a family member's estate sales, but do not know much about them. They are dark blue with a raised white design of a girl, boy and a dog etc. on the outside. They are 4 3/4" high and have a 2" opening. There are no manufacturer marking that I can find. I believe they are from 50 - 70 years old. Years ago manufacturers of laundry soap, etc would include 'gifts' in the product cartons as an incentive to buy. I thought this might be one such item. I have a total of 8. I am trying to go with the idea of 'less is more', and downsize. I will either pass these along to my daughter/granddaughter if they want them, or possibly sell them. How do I find out what price I should ask for them?

Thank you. Jane

Sorry these are so large.

I think Libby Glass made those. They are in the Mary Gregory style.

Here is a link that might be useful: Libbey glass

I googled around a little and found it in numerous sources, including Replacements. It is Libbey/Rock Sharpe and discontinued in 1974.

Thank you for your help. I had no idea who the manufacturer might be, but once one knows it sure helps. Jane
