Ice cold showers

amytctMarch 11, 2005

For the last three mornings, I've had to endure ice cold showers. I complained to management yesterday and nothing has been done. I think this is management's responsibility, but I think the best route is to call the utility company directly myself. Problem is it's the weekend and this isn't considered an emergency, so I'll have to wait until Monday.

I should say that I mentioned that the water in the kitchen sink is fine, only the bathroom is affected and I was so much as told this isn't possible, so I think that's why I'm being blown off. I told our manager she was welcome to come up to my apartment and check it out herself if she didn't believe me. (She didn't take me up on the offer.)

I would suggest posting your question in the plumbing forum. Hopefully someone can help you figure out the problem.

You are not imagining things. My neighbor, two floors down, had the same problem. Turns out that the piping behind the walls was defective. She "lived" with this problem for almost a year and only when she renovated, did she find out why. Management would not cooperate with her and only when she called the city agency responsible for these problems, did she get results.

I am hoping yours is not the drastic. Are you getting heat in your bathroom? Because if it is not coming up properly, that would cause cold showers.
