Wow -- I am surprised it didn't scratch your tile -- I find it very abrasive.

It's also a must-have for smooth-top ranges and stainless steel sinks.

A paste made with it and rubbed into the fabric will take a rust stain out of white cotton (can't say if it is safe for other fabrics or colors). Cleans other metals too.

Think I read somewhere that BKF can etch granite, so use with care.

We have been using it on our glass cooktop and it works great. We were making blueberry syrup last night and had a boil over and it worked wonderful to get off the gunk! I use it in the sinks, the tubs, even dump some in the toilet if I run out of toilet cleaner. We love the stuff!

It is acidic so yes I would be careful with granite. I am getting granite counters so that is a good reminder - thanks!

If you've ever gotten a metal mark on tile, you k now how tough it is to get it off. In the past, more often than not, the tile got torn out and replaced. That Barkeepers Friend does a nice job on that, as well, without hurting the tile.

I remember your post. I am so happy for you. I couldn't immagine living with something you hate after spending all that money and time. And thanks for sharing about the BKF. I have never heard of it till now.
