If you are looking for another gadget....go for it....but ti won't make much different. You wills till have to opent he boxes of wraps....and teh Wrap Master takes up more room in your drawer/pantry.
I have a friendw ho uses one....and I think it's a pain....would rather the boxes.
But if you have a pantry shelf, those food service boxes of wraps really are easy!

I'm not sure how those wrap masters work. My mom also has arthritis. She buys a huge box of plastic wrap from Costco and keeps the box on the counter. It has a slidey thing that you run across the wrap to cut if off. It's great, although not very attractive. She used to cover the box with contact paper, but no longer bothers.

I also hate struggling with the wrap boxes.

I love them! Simple to operate, works great with plastic wrap, and cuts evenly with one whack. They look cleaner in the pantry than numerous and varied boxes.

I have these. I purchased them from the old Linen and Things years ago. I love them. I have several reasons for not liking the cartons. They always looks dirty to me and I can't clean them. The wrapmasters can be wiped and cleaned easily. They are extremely easy to operate, you just push down and it cuts. I wish they still made the one for Waxpaper. I don't see that one anywhere but I use a unit from Ikea for waxpaper. The only note of caution is that they only work with the regular size rolls. Don't get the larger volume rolls from costco because it would have a smaller core that will be not fit the cardboard core holders. Check your local Bed Bath and Beyond because I remember mine being $10.99 each.

Ignore my comment about the core. The manufacturer says you can go up to 250sq.ft and you don't need to use the gray holders. I have to try this with a large wrap that I purchased from Costco.

Thank You! I had gone ahead and ordered them out of desperation before I posted, thinking all those reviews couldn't be wrong. I'll let you know what I think of them when they arrive, and check the local BB&B while I'm at it, since I use wax paper (and rolls of parchment) all the time.

I'm not looking for another gadget; that part doesn't really interest me. I just want to make using it easier than it is, which is what I'm hoping for.

Well, Jessy, that is a new use I hadn't thought of!

They arrived today, and I am in love with the wrapmaster! The last box of plastic wrap in my kitchen had the slide to cut the wrap, which I detested. It seemed easy enough to use, but the darn thing wouldn't fit in my drawer, and was a four step process (for me) just to get the thing out and cut. Enter Wrapmaster! They are locked and loaded, and so easy I can't quite believe it. If anyone else is waffling about these who struggles with the boxes, feel confident. Highly Recommended. I just love using a product that makes a former struggle so e a s y.

Wow Donna, that's a big unit! It seems like it takes me forever to get through two boxes from the local warehouse club; I'd be using that for years. I will say I do like the portability of the boxes I got, and how simple they are to use, not to mention how well they fit in my drawer. I wish they'd make one for parchment paper.

Oh, I don't think I want one that big, either. The ones you got will be just fine. Every year my kids ask me what I want for Christmas and I can never come up with anything, but this year I know what I'll be telling them I want.

Ok I'm going to go in the other direction to say I have no use for the little guys as those rolls fit nicely in my drawer. The big industrial roll on the other hand is an eyesore in my kitchen. So, thanks to Donna, I put in a request with Western Plastics and they were happy to sell me the 18" unit, retail. It arrived today, and I'm very pleased with my new toy.

A few comments:

- First and foremost, it works every bit as easily as the linked video implies. The film is right there to grab, you pull it out, push down the top, nice neat cut.

- Cost for the dispenser itself was $38 + shipping.

- Tube size does not match the typical Reynolds tube (pictured), so you need to order wrap from them. Their price per roll is a few dollars cheaper than what I pay at a restaurant supply, so the savings helped offset shipping cost. You have to buy the film in 'cases' of two rolls each, but I figure two 2000' rolls will make this roughly a once-a-decade event for me.

- The only negative I have on the product itself so far is that there is no way to lock it in the closed position. My picture is slightly deceptive as I stuffed a straw to hold it relatively shut. I plan to find something that fits just right to act as wedge when not in use. Just an aesthetic thing. The video shows what it looks like normally.

I will say if you don't need the industrial size, the wrapmaster boxes do fit in my drawers as well as the paper boxes did, and the smaller versions lock shut which is nice. It certainly makes getting film, foil or paper much easier than I could have imagined, and easy on the aching fingers too.

claire, my drawer is only 3" deep. Will they fit in there?

I don't think so. I measured the inside of my drawer, and it's 3-1/4'' high. Do you have frameless cabinets? That may make a difference...

no they're not frameless :( and the top drawer edges only clear the frame by about 1/4 inch. Do you think that will be enough. A regular roll of foil, plastic wrap and the boxes of bags all fit perfectly.

Gosh, I'm not sure. I looked on the web site at QVC and the dimensions for these are actually 3-1/2 inches, even though I didn't need quite that much space for them. Would you have another place you could rearrange, so you could make them fit? I ask, because I actually have mine in three different locations: The wax paper is in a large drawer in my island since I use it mostly for prep work; the plastic wrap is near my ''sandwich'' making counter where I wrap things for the fridge, and the foil is next to my oven. I know it probably doesn't make sense, but I'm a big advocate for putting stuff like this where I actually use it, instead of the drawer they would normally fit. Could something like that work for you?
